located in Magelang, Central Java, Indonesia, which is a popular trekking destination. The temple is located on the slopes of Mount Sumbing and requires a journey through beautiful terraced rice fields to reach it.

SUKUH TEMPLE

Sukuh Temple is a 15th-century Hindu temple complex located on the slopes of Mount Lawu in Central Java, Indonesia, famous for its unique stepped pyramid architecture similar to Mayan pyramids, as well as its distinctive reliefs and phallic symbols. TUMPAK SEWU WATERFALL

Tumpak Sewu Waterfall is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in East Java. The name “Tumpak Sewu” itself means stacked waterfalls or a thousand waterfalls, referring to the many small streams that fall simultaneously on a circular cliff.

This waterfall is approximately 120 meters high and its circular shape resembles a giant curtain of water, making it a unique and magnificent natural sight.

The beauty of this waterfall is even more stunning due to its location at the foot of Mount Semeru, blending in with the harmony of the surrounding nature.

MERU BETIRI NATIONAL PARK

Meru Betiri is a nature conservation area in East Java that is famous for its rich ecosystem, including turtle habitats, and is an area for research, education, and tourism. This national park is named after the two mountains within it, Mount Meru (500 meters above sea level) and Mount Betiri (1,223 meters above sea level), and is known for its natural beauty, such as Sukamade Beach and Green Bay.

It was originally designated as a protected forest by the Dutch colonial government in 1931, then became a wildlife reserve in 1972 to protect the endangered Javan tiger.

There are two tourist attractions in Meru Betiri, namely:

Sukamade Beach, which is a nesting site for rare sea turtles, such as hawksbill, leatherback, green, and olive ridley sea turtles. Visitors can watch the turtles lay their eggs at night and release the hatchlings into the sea in the morning.

Teluk Hijau, a beautiful bay with stunning beach views, accessible by trekking from Sukamade Beach.

MOUNT IJEN

Mount Ijen is an active volcano in East Java, Indonesia, famous for its turquoise-colored acidic crater lake and the "blue fire" phenomenon, where burning sulfur gases create electric-blue flames at night. The mountain is also the site of a physically demanding traditional sulfur mining operation, where miners carry heavy loads of sulfur from the crater to earn a livelihood.

The blue fire is a natural phenomenon caused by the combustion of sulfur gases emitted from volcanic vents. It is most spectacular at night, between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m., and is one of the few places in the world where it can be observed.
